Psychotherapy
I have an M.A. in counseling psychology from Lesley University with a focus in trauma therapy, and completed an intensive two-year training in contemplative psychotherapy at the Nalanda Institute. I have also received extensive one-on-one mentoring in both relational and intersubjective approaches to therapy. I am also certified as a hypnotherapist by the American Hypnosis Association.
Meditation
I have been studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism since 2004, and have been fortunate to connect with and learn from profound masters in both the Gelug and Sakya lineages. I have experience with a wide range of meditation techniques, including both well-known ones such as mindfulness, shamatha (calm-abiding), metta (loving-kindness), as well as visualization-based meditations unique to the Tibetan tradition.

ABOUT MINDY
I am a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, and certified hypnotherapist with a deep commitment to supporting people through authenticity, kindness, and truly personalized care.
In my practice, I focus on creating a safe process that empowers clients to connect with their inner worlds more profoundly than they ever have before. While I enjoy working with practices that can be considered esoteric, including meditation and dreamwork, I am very practical and believe that any therapeutic strategy must lead to demonstrable, real-world change in order to be useful.
I am particularly experienced in helping heal anxiety and trauma and in guiding people through all kinds of life transitions. My ongoing commitment to professional development ensures I continue to learn and improve as a therapist, helping my clients achieve lasting personal growth and emotional resilience.

EXPERIENCE
Psychotherapy
My work focuses on helping clients navigate complex emotional landscapes and life events. Before going into private practice, I worked extensively with adults and children at several prominent Boston institutions, including the Child Witness to Violence Project at Boston Medical Center, the Franciscan Hospital for Children, and the pioneering Yoga Services program at JRI Trauma Center.
Meditation
I started teaching meditation in 2016 when I was asked by the Nalanda Institute to teach a weekly drop-in class at Tibet House in New York City. I have also taught both recorded series and live classes for Tricycle magazine, and workshops for nonprofit agencies including the Ackerman Institute and the Visiting Nurses Association.
